Medical terminology and procedures are frequently incomprehensible to other professions and it is one function of the Panel to explain these in a clear and concise fashion. Many specific problems arise of a medical nature, which are discussed with the company staff, resulting in a rapid and more efficient handling of claims, made by the insured.

New procedures and treatments are being introduced constantly and it is the task of members of the panel to monitor and evaluate these as they occur. Every attempt is made to update the schedule of procedures and the panel must keep them constantly under review to keep them on the list.

Finally in the insurance market, there are inevitably many areas where there are gaps in the market and it is the task of the panel to identify these to the company to provide a more comprehensive coverage for its clients.

The formation of the panel has resulted in all of the above and in future will provide a better service for patients, doctors and their colleagues alike.
